Enhancing Customer Stickiness through AI-Powered Image Creation 📸
PROBLEM:
Leadpages customers expressed a growing interest in AI-generated content, building on the success of the AI Writing Assistant and Headline Swap features. While these tools significantly improved the copy creation process, there was a gap in the ability to create compelling visuals quickly and efficiently. Customers needed a way to generate high-quality images that could be seamlessly integrated into their landing pages and websites, reducing the time to publish and increasing engagement. The challenge was to create an intuitive AI image generation tool that would delight users while maintaining ease of use.
SOLUTION:
To address this need, we introduced the AI Images feature in a two-phase rollout:
Phase 1: We launched a simple interface where users could generate images by entering written prompts. The generated images were automatically tagged as "AI images" and stored in the "My Images" library for easy access. This phase focused on introducing the capability and gathering user feedback.
Phase 2: Based on the initial success and user insights, we enhanced the interface by adding visual prompt buttons and keyword chips, making the image generation process more user-friendly. We also introduced options for Style, Composition, Color, and Mood, allowing users to fine-tune their image generation to better match their brand and creative vision. Additionally, we included prompt tips that appeared while the AI engine generated images, helping users craft better prompts and achieve more relevant results.
OUTCOME:
The beta version of AI Images was met with overwhelming positive feedback, prompting us to plan further improvements to the AI image engine for the following year. The introduction of this feature not only accelerated the time it took for customers to publish landing pages and websites but also demonstrated a direct correlation with increased customer lifetime value. Customers who were able to publish quickly were more likely to stay engaged with the platform, resulting in higher retention and satisfaction rates.
